The story of Divine Life Hospital is one of relentless transformation and an unwavering commitment to bringing world-class healthcare to the Kutch region. Our journey began in July 2016 when Mediaid Healthcare took the bold step to reinaugurate the facility. The initial focus was on establishing a robust foundation: the building was renovated to house a modern Emergency Room, a bustling OPD center, and a Daycare room. Quality was paramount from day one, with the ICU fully equipped with best-in-class GE monitors and ventilators. We immediately set a technological benchmark by installing the region’s first GE Voluson E8 Ultrasound, alongside the latest CT Scan, TMT, and Digital X-ray facilities. With core departments like Critical Care, Medicine, Orthopedics, Gynecology, and Pediatrics operational and supported by round-the-clock Pathology and Pharmacy, the hospital quickly became a trusted name.
The following years, from 2017 to 2019, were defined by rapid expansion and the introduction of technological “firsts.” We unveiled a State-of-the-Art Modular OT and launched Kutch’s first Modular IVF Lab. This period saw Divine Life Hospital transition into a true super-specialty hub with the launch of Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Rheumatology, and Pulmonology departments. A significant milestone was the installation of the first Microscope in Kutch for advanced neurosurgery procedures, demonstrating our commitment to complex, specialized care.
As the decade turned, we focused on scaling capacity. The ICU was upgraded to 24 beds, making it the largest in the entire Kutch region, alongside the establishment of a Dialysis unit, a Neonatal Care Unit, and a dedicated Urology department. When the global challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, Divine Life Hospital stood as a pillar of the community, serving as the most affordable and reliable center for both Covid and non-Covid patients and proving our resilience during a global crisis.
Entering the non-Covid era (2021–2022), the pace of innovation did not slow down. We spearheaded the biggest vaccination drive in the private sector and distinguished ourselves as the only hospital in the entire district where the Emergency Room is managed by specialist Emergency Physicians. Further clinical expansion included upgrading the Dialysis unit to 10 machines and launching a comprehensive Gastroenterology unit, complete with in-house Endoscopy and ERCP facilities.
The years 2023 and 2024 marked the beginning of a massive new chapter centered on advanced cardiac care. We installed a State-of-the-Art Cathlab from GE—the first installation of its kind in Gujarat. This breakthrough enabled life-saving Interventional Cardiology procedures. Simultaneously, a completely Modular Cardiothoracic setup was established, allowing for regular CABG (Bypass) surgeries and other complex CTVS procedures. Today, in 2025, Divine Life Hospital continues to push the boundaries of medical science by launching Interventional Neurosurgery (offering advanced procedures like thrombectomy and stenting) and revitalizing Neonatology services with a full-time Neonatologist.
From a renovated facility in 2016 to a multi-specialty powerhouse today, Divine Life Hospital remains dedicated to saving lives, delivering excellence, and serving the community.
